Read-Along Storytime Learning Kit

Description:

The Read-Along Storytime Learning Kit has been thoughtfully created for homeschool families who cherish Sonlights literature-based approach to education. Built around the idea that stories spark imagination and connection, this kit provides interactive, hands-on tools to extend storytime into meaningful comprehension, retelling, and creative exploration. Designed for children ages 12 months and up, it integrates play, literacy, and fine motor development into a cohesive homeschool resource.

The Create-It Station (WB-1316) is the centerpiece, inviting children to dramatize Sonlights beloved read-alouds. Whether transforming into a puppet theater, post office, or pet shop, this solid wood station allows young learners to retell stories, act out characters, and create story-inspired scenes. Its write-and-wipe marquee encourages labeling and title writing, fostering literacy as children connect spoken words with written ones.

Supporting hands-on, book-inspired activities, the Toddler Manipulative Table (KRP-323) offers a dedicated space for crafting, puppetry, and illustrating story scenes. With raised edges and a sturdy hardwood design, it provides a safe, contained space for toddlers to build, draw, and collaborate, enhancing both fine motor skills and cooperative play.

The kit also includes Inside Outside Wooden Shapes (LAD-520), a versatile set of 14 birch plywood disks featuring mathematical and environmental shapes. Perfect for story connections, children can match a crown to a fairy tale, a star to a night sky scene, or a heart to a characters emotion. These tactile pieces also support tracing, sorting, and language development, reinforcing early comprehension and storytelling skills.

Together, these resources create a multi-sensory extension of Sonlights story-rich lessons. The Read-Along Storytime Learning Kit transforms read-alouds into interactive experiences, helping children retell, dramatize, and internalize the stories they loveall while developing foundational literacy, motor skills, and creativity.
